In 2016, he joined Atos Research and Innovation, where he served as head of the Energy, Climate, and Decarbonization Unit. He coordinated the H2020 projects inteGRIDy and Horizon Europe OMEGA-X, as well as overseeing Atos’s participation in a portfolio of around 20 additional projects. In February 2024, he joined the Eclipse Foundation as Program Manager for Dataspaces, leveraging his knowledge of the Dataspaces ecosystem gained through intensive collaboration with both IDSA and Gaia-X.

He worked for German small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the industrial and healthcare sectors before joining Siemens in 2005, where he held various positions in manufacturing and production development. In 2009, he founded the corporate program for sustainable production engineering. Starting in 2013, he led the group responsible for shop floor equipment and future standardization for Siemens factories worldwide, with implementation at a Siemens Energy plant in the Czech Republic. Since 2016, Dominik has also served as CTO of the German non-profit and pre-competitive association Labs Network Industrie 4.0 e.V. (LNI 4.0), which promotes digital transformation across a wide range of industries, with a particular focus on SMEs. In 2021, Dominik became Chief Operating Officer of Gaia-X, the trusted data ecosystem association, which reached 350 members within one year. In 2022, he returned to LNI 4.0 as Chief Technology Officer, focusing on the internationalization of data ecosystems, as well as testing and validation. Dominik is a member of several industry trade associations, the International Manufacturing-X Council, and supports international industrial standardization.
